Our Leadership Team
Our deaf and hard of hearing students are at the core of every decision we make at St Mary’s College. Our Catholic values aim to develop the whole person by providing the knowledge, skills, hope and optimism to live meaningful lives, and shape and enrich the world around them.
A passionate and collaborative leader, Amanda guides the St Mary’s College staff in holding high expectations with strong individual support for each student. She has taught in and led many successful schools and deaf education facilities throughout Victoria and received a Victorian Educational Excellence Award for her work in creating inclusive school environments for deaf and hard of hearing students.
With extensive qualifications and experience in leadership, deaf education and university lecturing, Amanda’s ability to deliver St Mary’s deaf and hard of hearing education program across all campus communities, places her as a leader with in-depth knowledge of deaf education inclusivity and exceptional learning opportunities.
A passionate and evidence-informed educational leader, Sarah Moss-Holland is the Deputy Principal Learning and Engagement, working across St Mary’s six campuses to strengthen the College's strategic direction in learning, teaching and wellbeing. With more than 20 years’ experience working alongside staff, students and families across primary, secondary and tertiary education, she brings a strong background in research and literacy.
Sarah is committed to bridging practice and scholarship to build a culture of proactive, inclusive practice where specialist expertise strengthens teaching, student agency and positive outcomes.
Outside of school, Sarah is a proud mum to three boys and enjoys a busy family life with her husband. She is an avid reader and traveller, who also loves the theatre, gym and all things sport.
Narelle Stone is the Deputy Principal People and Operations, where she oversees the staff, policies and procedures across our six campuses. With nearly 30 years experience in schools in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia, she has knowledge of educational systems and processes. She holds a Master of Educational Leadership and a Master of Learning Intervention.
Narelle is passionate about mentoring new staff and supporting teachers in best practice for inclusive education. Outside of school she trains regularly for half marathons, with her most recent competition in the beautiful Cook Islands. She is also researching her family tree and has located ancestors as far back as 1459 CE.
Each campus comprises several teachers of the deaf and educational support staff who work together with our partner schools' subject and classroom teachers. College Administration and Speech Language Pathologists support all students, families and staff across all campuses.
